A soundbar should sit level and centered with the TV. We mount it in the right position, connect it, and set up the sound before we leave.

How we mount and set up your soundbar

    Centered under the TV

    We measure from the TV, not the wall, so the soundbar sits centered under the screen.

  2. 02

    Cable hidden with the TV’s

    If you add in-wall wire hiding ($75), the soundbar cable runs through the same path as the TV cables, so no extra cord shows.

  3. 03

    Surround speakers, placed right

    We mount rear and side speakers at ear height and route the wiring along the trim or through the wall where possible.

  4. 04

    Everything tested together

    We connect the TV, soundbar, and streaming box, then test everything from the couch to make sure it works together properly.

Prices before 8.25% sales tax. Some ZIPs farther from central Houston add a $50 to $100 travel fee.

Soundbar and home theater questions

    • Can you mount the soundbar on the wall instead of a shelf?

      Yes. Most soundbars come with wall brackets. We can mount the soundbar on the wall right under the TV, or attach it to the TV mount so it tilts with the screen.

    • Do you set up subwoofers and rear speakers?

      Yes. We place and pair wireless subwoofers and rear speakers. Wired rear speakers can be mounted with the wiring routed along the baseboards or inside the wall where the framing allows.

    • Will my streaming box be hidden?

      Usually, yes. We can mount the streaming box behind the TV and route its cable with the other TV cables. If the box needs line-of-sight for an IR remote, we’ll place it on or near the console instead.

    • What does a soundbar add to the price?

      $50 on top of the TV mount. That covers mounting the soundbar, connecting it to the TV, and setting up the sound.
